“ To Be Expected “...

” To Be Expected “

To be expected
prying questions
as blends of vanity
self-pity and passivity
like chilly silky
musicality rewritten

bumblingly
yet charmingly
behind the scenes
lauding the glories
of being seen
spectrally off screen
tough to the point of cruelty
while humbly shoulderswinging

gritty and gloppy incessantly
zooming and swooping
pungently and permanently
pursuing romantic drawn-out stories
lit by candles and torches

along murky waters transformed
from victim to warrior
up to the point of exhaustion
richly rewarded angel-borne
thinned oils golden macaws...
